Flash Developer
Summary
Flash Developer’s primary responsibilities include active participation in project team efforts to build, analyze, design, code, configure, test, install and deliver complex, innovative and strategic media-rich interactive solutions. A Flash developer collaborates with his/her peers and provides the technical input, experience and advice required to complete challenging development projects. The position requires a self-disciplined individual, who is conscientious, resourceful, takes initiative, and enjoys being a team player as well as taking leadership roles. He/she is able to learn quickly, handle detail, meet deadlines, accept responsibility and use good interpersonal skills and sound judgment in handling information at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop Flash modules for Internet and elearning applications
- Assist in building and maintaining web sites and elearning applications
- Assist in technical architecture development
- Work closely with other staff
- Other duties as assigned
- Develop and maintain open communications with customers, stakeholders and others
- Be informed of and adhere to Xpan’s policies and procedures.
Skills and Expertise
- Firm understanding of the Adobe Flash environment
- Solid competency with ActionScript 2.0
- A good eye for design and animation
- Experience with PHP/MySQL, JavaScript, XML, HTML and CSS
- Experience with Audio (Protools) and 3D a definite asset
- Knowledge of general programming standard practices
- Experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Communication Skills – Exceptional oral, written communication and presentation skills
- Organizational / Multi-Tasking Skills - Ability to allocate time effectively, and manage tight deadlines; ability to prioritize multiple projects, ability to use initiative and self-managing skills to work independently with minimal direction and use effective problem solving skills; detail-oriented and accurate. Ability to manage other’s expectations appropriately
Education & Experience
- High School diploma; 1-2 year related post-secondary education is preferred
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Proven experience working in a team environment.
