.NET Developer

Summary

Reporting to the C.O.O. the .NET Developer is responsible for designing and developing software and web pages based on given performance requirements and design. The .NET Developer must have strong communication skills to correspond with clients or business analysts while gathering technical system specifications, which is required to translate requirements into functional code.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Skills of a .NET programmer specifically include- At least +2 years experience using Visual Studios, VB.NET or C, HTML, JavaScript, Java, ASP.NET, ASP, XML, PL/SQL, AJAX and CSS. The .NET programmer must also have at least +1 year experience in using web/application servers such as ISS, Apache, WebSphere, Update Engine, etc and at least +2 years developing software libraries or web applications utilizaing JavaScript, SQL Server, Perl, HTML, ASP, ASP.NET and ODBC. Additional skills of a .NET programmer such as Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, Unix shell scripting and Oracle tools and applications would be beneficial.

Specific work elements of the position as a .NET programmer include but are not limited to the following: Ability to gather and understand requirements, development of software or web pages, implementation and support; actively participating in database design, data loading and design layout; be able to work individually and on team projects; verify accuracy, safety and completeness of projects by implementing comprehensive testing and sample data; providing source code and formal documentation.
