Calgary Transit and The City of Calgary awarded Xpan a contract to develop a Training Program for the Electro Vehicle Mechanics for the Light Rail Train sytem. This blended training program uses a Computer Based Training environment as well as a structured on-the-job training curriculum.
Calgary Transit is Canada's fourth largest transit agency, and a leading practitioner of eLearning. A comprehensive eLearning program they developed reduced the time required to train a fully qualified Electro Vehicle Mechanic from 2 years to only 9 months. This resulted in a 63% cost reduction and provided superior results to the traditional training methods employed previously.
